North Houston College Degree and Diploma Programs

We offer degree and diploma programs, some of which can be completed in as few as eight months, and some classes are available in both day and evening sessions. We provide opportunities for Houston college students who are focused on getting the higher education and career training they need to pursue the job and the future they want.⁽¹⁾

Associate’s Degree Programs:

• Associate’s Degree Business Office Management

  The associate’s degree program in Business Office Management promotes the conceptual awareness and practical abilities needed to supervise personnel and help organizations run efficiently, effectively, and ethically. Students at our North Houston, Texas campus study a broad range of business skills that can help prepare them for leadership careers in business, government, and many types of organizations.⁽¹⁾

• Criminal Justice Degree

  The associate’s degree program in Criminal Justice provides students at our North Houston, Texas campus with knowledge and lessons shared by industry-experienced faculty regarding many facets of criminal justice. Students develop a strong foundation for possible entry-level positions in the areas of loss prevention, security, and investigations.

College Diploma Programs:

• Cosmetology Training Program

  Students in the Cosmetology college diploma program at our North Houston, Texas campus study practical, hands-on hair, nail, and skin care skills and have the opportunity to learn the business skills needed to succeed in the growing salon and beauty industry. Graduates should have the skills and salon hours necessary to pass their state licensing exam⁽²⁾ and begin entry-level work as a hair stylist, makeup artist, or color specialist.⁽¹⁾

• North Houston (Greenspoint) Dental Assistant Training Program

  Our college diploma program in Dental Assisting combines classroom courses and real-life work experience to help prepare our graduates for potential entry-level positions as registered/certified dental assistants. ⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾ Students at our North Houston, Texas campus study in fully equipped dental labs and must complete an externship to gain on-the-job training prior to graduation.⁽³⁾

• Medical Assistant Training Program

  Our Medical Assisting college diploma program helps prepare students at our North Houston, Texas campus to become medical assistants in long-term health care facilities, hospitals, and physicians' offices.⁽¹⁾ This program features classroom lecture and hands-on medical labs covering a variety of medical diagnostic and health care office procedures.

• Medical Billing Training Program

  Our Medical Billing and Coding diploma program helps students at our North Houston, Texas campus to work with health-related information and coding, along with the systems used to collect and process that data to ensure proper financial reimbursement from insurance companies and government agencies. In as few as nine months, graduates should be equipped with the skills and knowledge that may enable them to pursue entry-level positions as medical billers and coders.⁽¹⁾

• Pharmacy Technician Training Program

  Our Pharmacy Technician college diploma program combines classroom teaching and lab training in a variety of topics, including sterile product preparation, prescription order processing, and pharmacology. Graduates of our North Houston, Texas campus may qualify for entry-level positions with pharmacies in retail, hospital, and mail order settings or find positions in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities.⁽¹⁾

Our commitment to students continues outside of the college classrooms with our Career Services Department. The Career Services office was designed to help our college students find and apply for jobs, receive help with resume writing, prepare for job interviews, and connect with potential Greenspoint and Houston employers.⁽¹⁾

Active Involvement in the Greenspoint, Texas Community

As a member of the North Houston-Greenspoint Chamber of Commerce, we participate in numerous events and initiatives designed to promote and enhance the North Houston-Greenspoint area. We also host blood drives and food drives and offer regular cosmetology promotions to help serve the needs of our growing local community.
